Starting in 2020, teams from five cities in Sri Lanka will compete in the Lanka Premier Tournament. Sri Lanka Cricket established the league in 2018. Ravin Wickramaratne is the vice president of SLC. He was formally chosen to lead the competition in August 2020.
It is a popular cricket tournament in the country of Sri Lanka. There have been three seasons of the competition since its popularity. Jaffna Kings won the 2022 competition by defeating Colombo Stars in the finals. It was exciting to see both sides put their best foot forward. Sri Lanka T20 League: Kickstarting the Tournament
The Lanka Premier will begin on July 30th and will have its final match on Sunday, August 20. The afternoon games will begin at 3 PM IST. On the other hand, the evening games will be at 7:30 PM IST.
The event will feature 24 total matches. This includes two qualifiers, one eliminator, and a final in the Sri Lanka Super League live match. The Sri Lanka t20 League will include five teams in total in 2023. The format which is followed here is the round-robin format. This will then continue to the knockout rounds of the competition.

1. Colombo Strikers

2. B-Love Kandy
B-Love Kandy is formerly known as Kandy Falcons in 2022. Earlier it was also known as Kandy Warriors in 2021 and Kandy Tuskers in 2020. This is another team in the Lanka Premier League 2023.
3. Galle Titans
Galle Titans was earlier known as Galle Gladiators. This is another Twenty20 cricket team that represents the city of Galle in the Southern Province.
4. Jaffna Kings
Jaffna Kings was commonly called as the Jaffna Stallions during its formation. It is a popular franchise cricket team. The team won the inaugural Lanka Premier League 2020 Championship on December 16, 2020. It is the current competition champion.
5. Dambulla Aura
Dambulla Aura is a Lanka Premier League team based in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. This is another team that enjoys a huge following in Sri Lanka.
